We enjoyed it a great deal when the Black Diamond, Wande Coal, gifted us “Sope Tie” in 2009. Fast forward nine (9) years after, the Mayor of Lagos, Mayorkun, dished us “Sope” and we loved it. Twelve (12) months down the line Nigerians have once again got their ear buds serenaded with another tune entitled Sope; this time the architect is the Nigerian music Head Boy, King Dhan.
Sope‘s substance has remained the same – gratitude. The talent of King Dhan, the most recent contributor to the decade-long Sope frenzy, is not in doubt. He may not have been here for a decade but has given us a beautiful work of art that will remain relevant for years to come.
Sopé by King Dhan was released on December 12, 2019 and is available on all digital platforms for your listening pleasure.
